Use Dragonfly’s tofu served with a tangy sweet and sour sauce with a side of Rice and eat your favourite takeaway at home!
1 large red onion (peeled and chopped into small pieces)
2 garlic cloves (minced)
ginger to taste peeled and cut into small pieces)
400g Dragonfly Premium tofu (cubed)
1 large can (400g) of pineapple chunks in juice
1 red and 1 green pepper (seeds removed and cut into strips)
1 tbsp of toasted sesame oil
2 tbsp of tomato puree
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp Chinese rice vinegar
White rice (cooked)
Note: Cook the rice as directed on the packet while the sauce is cooking.
1) Heat the oil in a pan and add garlic, ginger, onions & peppers. Stir fry for about 5 mins.
2) Mix the tomato puree, sugar, vinegar and 1/3 of the pineapple juice together and add to the pan. Simmer for another minute or until the sugar has melted.
3) Add the pineapple chunks and tofu cubes then cover and simmer for 6-8 mins. Add more juice if needed.
4) Serve with rice.
